What We Do
The Society, a nonprofit, 100% volunteer organization established in 1966, accomplishes its mission in the following ways:
MUSEUM
- Monthly docent led Open Houses at the Hunt House Museum (2nd Sunday 1:00-3:30pm)
- Curating, archiving, creating and maintaining historical exhibits
EDUCATION
- Monthly educational Member meetings (4th Monday 7-8:30pm)
- Monthly newsletter, The Gazette
- Educational programs and community events in the Education Center
COMMUNITY
- Collaborations with the City of East Providence, schools, libraries, senior centers and other cultural and historical organizations
- Master Gardener Program on-site 1st Tuesday 4-7pm and 2nd Sunday 2-4pm

VOLUNTEER

With our newly completed three-year Strategic Plan, we have lots of ideas and plans for new initiatives and we welcome your help as we move forward. Your help can be on an as needed basis for specific projects or as an active member of one of our committees, or somewhere in between!
